        Consultation & Teambuilding

      Consultation

The dictionary defines consult as the process of either seeking information or advice from a professional, or that of providing information or advice. The consultant is the person providing professional advice. Consultation is similar to educational supervision, but unlike supervision in general, does not have the function of evaluation of adherence to agency policy and guidelines. Consultation is intended to improve the competence of the practitioner in the provision of services to the client, within the ethical guidelines of the profession involved in the delivery of services.

We offer consultation to practitioners who are invested in deepening their clinical skills in the assessment and implementation of treatment for their clients. Georgia has a particular interest in helping create strategies for successful work with clients—children, adolescents, adults and families—who are for some reason devalued by wider society. We are also available for consultation with agencies and programs who want to incorporate action therapy processes and the Healing Circle Model into work with their clients. Telephone, video and e-mail consultation is available.

      Teambuilding

Two Lakes Psychodrama Institute has an excellent model for teambuilding available. This model has been created and tested over a twenty year span with public and private agencies, and with teams varying in size from 4-5 people to more than 40. Georgia has utilized this model with as many as five agencies at a time, with the agencies coming together to deal with issues of cooperation and collaboration between agencies as they attempt to deal with a community issue. This is a most effective, many layered process, which has, to date, always proven successful. We are available to teach the process to interested practitioners, as well as provide direct service to teams in need of change.
